BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A couple from Louisiana is addressing the stigma of perimenopause with their new book, “The Hot Mess Handbook: Navigating Perimenopause with Science and a Sense of Humor.”
Written by Crystal Burke, NP, and Dr. Steven Youngblood, MD, co-founders of The Menopause Clinic in Baton Rouge, Louisiana’s first telehealth clinic dedicated to perimenopause and menopause, the book offers science-based facts, empathy, and humor.
Inspired by women who felt misdiagnosed or dismissed, the authors aim to empower women with clear information, according to a news release. The book is available on Amazon.
