Breaux Bridge man charged with child abuse and animal cruelty
BREAUX BRIDGE, La. (KLFY) — A Breaux Bridge man was arrested for sexually abusing an animal and possession of child sexual abuse material, authorities said.

Yesterday, authorities arrested and charged Kerwin Theriot, 56, of Breaux Bridge with four counts of child sexual abuse material felony and 21 counts of sexual abuse of an animal felony.

This arrest was a result of a joint investigation between the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation Cyber Crime Unit, Saint Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office and Homeland Security Investigations.

Kerwin was booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center. No bond details were released at this time.

The investigation remains ongoing.
