Pam Moore, legendary Bay Area journalist, to be honored by NABJ

(KRON) – A legendary Bay Area journalist and former KRON4 anchor is set to be honored by a prominent organization this week. Pam Moore will be inducted into the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) Hall of Fame. 

The organization said the Hall of Fame is reserved for journalists and communicators who have made outstanding contributions to the news and media industries.

Moore joined KRON4 in 1991, after working as a reporter in Detroit, Dallas, Louisville, Los Angeles and Boston.

Moore’s contribution to KRON4’s series “About Race” garnered several awards, including a prestigious George Foster Peabody Award and the Pew Center Batten Prize for Civic Journalism. Moore was nominated for an Emmy for the special ‘Selma to Ferguson”.

The Detroit native studied at the University of Michigan, where she earned a degree in Radio/Television and Film. The Michigan Wolverine began her broadcasting career as a news reporter at WJLB Radio in Detroit.

The Hall of Fame Induction and Luncheon will be held on Friday at the NABJ Convention & Career Fair in Cleveland.
