Tuesday temperatures: Temperatures on Tuesday will be near or slightly below normal. Lows Tuesday morning will begin in the upper 60s to lower 70s over most of the area. Daytime highs Tuesday afternoon will be a few degrees warmer as temperatures top out in the low to middle 90s.
Expect the sunshine to stick around: Futurecast shows the dry weather continuing for the ArkLaTex. Expect a clear to partly cloudy sky on Monday night. We will then see some clouds mix in with the sunshine on Tuesday. A stray shower can’t be ruled out, but the chance of rain is probably less than 10%. We will see a clear sky on Tuesday night and lots of sunshine once again on Wednesday
Long-range outlook: Upper-level high pressure will continue to strengthen and expand over the Southern Plains during the last half of this week. This will keep us dry and bring back the above-normal temperatures. Daytime highs will warm into the mid to upper 90s during the last half of this week. The ridge will then weaken somewhat this weekend and especially next week. This may allow a very small chance of rain to return and ease daytime highs back into the middle 90s. Overnight lows will eventually warm into the mid to upper 70s.
