The contest had a total of 205 entries from students ages 8-18 across Illinois. Winners received a total of $5,250 in scholarships.
John G. took first place in the 11-14 age bracket.
His photograph, “Harvest Time,” will be displayed at the Illinois State Fair next month.
This contest is held every year by State Treasurer Michael Frerichs.
