Elevated Rhythm summer band camp held at Gateway Church

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS)- Elevated Rhythm held a one-week summer band camp at Gateway Church. Patrick Thomas Jr. founded Elevated Rhythm. He is a former Huntington High School band member who has gone on to Jackson State University, where he is a member of the band known as the Sonic Boom of the South.

He wanted to give back to Shreveport kids by doing something he loves. Members of the band camp were from many different area schools, and they taught them discipline, fitness, and skills.

Thomas said the camp will be held next year, and if parents want to sign up their children, they can follow his Instagram page to stay informed. The camp is suitable for current band members and those interested in getting started.
