Bullet strikes vehicle in Germantown; investigation underway

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — Montgomery County police are investigating after a bullet struck a vehicle in Germantown on Saturday night.

Officers discovered the vehicle had been hit after responding to a reported shooting in the area of Beehive Lane and Brandermill Drive just minutes after 8 p.m., according to the Montgomery County Department of Police (MCPD). This is in a residential area.

It is unclear if anyone was inside the vehicle at the time of the shooting; however, no one was hurt. As of Sunday morning, police have not made any arrests in connection with the incident.

“This is an active and ongoing investigation. There is no additional information available at this time,” an MCPD spokesperson told DC News Now.
