Overnight, quiet weather returns to Acadiana with high humidity and temperatures in the 70s. Sunday begins fairly quiet around the area with sun and clouds mixing. By midday, a few storms will develop with spotty storms spreading out across Acadiana during the afternoon hours. Highs reach the lower 90s with fewer storms around.
The tropics have gone quiet for the time being and look to remain that way for the next week.
Locally, we will see drier weather to start the week which means much hotter weather. Highs reach the mid 90s with feels-like temperatures of 105 degrees. There will be only one or two storms around to bring cooling relief. By the end of the week, another disturbance will bring increased rain chances to the area.
