On Monday at 11 p.m., a patrol officer noticed a vehicle with a switched license plate as well as other driving violations. According to police, the patrol officer pulled the vehicle over in the 4000 block of University Drive.
The Huntsville Police Department said that suspicious behavior from the driver and passengers, along with the switched tag, led to officers asking everyone to step outside the vehicle. While searching the vehicle, officers found 13.7 grams of fentanyl and two scales with residue within reach of everyone who was inside the vehicle.
The HPD told News 19 that 42-year-old Antonio Latwan Moore, 30-year-old Romance Burrus Merril, and 31-year-old Michael William Holladay were all arrested and charged with drug trafficking and possession of drug paraphernalia.
They were all transported and booked into the Madison County Jail.
