Chicago police say the crash unfolded just before 11 p.m. in the 500 block of North Pulaski Road, in Humboldt Park.
According to police, the victim, a 58-year-old woman, was on Pulaski, walking along the side of the street, when she was struck by a southbound driver traveling in a red SUV.
Following the crash, the driver fled the scene.
