SGTC Assistant Vice President of Academic Affairs for the Crisp County Center, Michelle McGowan, shared her excitement for the expansion of academic programs being offered to students at the Crisp County Center.

“By now offering barbering on the Crisp County campus, we also are providing another professional service opportunity for individuals in this area,” McGowan said. “It has been a great program for the Americus campus and now it is expanding to this campus.”

McGowan explained how these programs were offered to SGTC due to the extreme interest in business and industry shown by students.

The Business Technology associate degree program will now provide students the opportunity to focus their area of concentration in human resources, office management, project management and social media.

“These new programs will provide local manufacturers with the skills they are seeking, especially with the precision machining and automation technology programs.” McGowan said.
