Lou Malnati’s offering free slices of Portillo’s hot dog pizza Wednesday

CHICAGO — Lou Malnati’s is offering free slices of its collaboration with Portillo’s Wednesday — hot dog deep dish pizza.

Lou Malnati’s will operate a hot dog stand outside their Gold Coast location, in the 1100 block of North State, starting at 11 a.m.

They’re giving away small slices of the new pizza until supplies last. The pizza enlists all of the Chicago hot dog ingredients, complete with poppy seeds on the crust and yellow mustard throughout.

It’s available in small size only at dine-in locations of Lou Malnati’s. It can be be delivered and is available for carryout too beginning Wednesday.

The move comes during National Hot Dog week. Portillo’s is offering $1 hot dogs through July 20 with a $5 purchase. It has to be made through their app.
