Just before sunrise on July 4, as families vacationed and children campers slumbered, the Guadalupe River in central Texas rose 26 feet, washing away homes and vehicles.
More than 10 days later, crews are still working to find the missing. As of Monday morning, 132 people were declared dead, and 101 people remain missing.
To help relief efforts, the Elks Lodge of Fresno will be holding a three-part dinner fundraiser featuring live music by the Legacy Band and a silent auction by East Central Lodges.
Doors open Saturday at 4 p.m. at the Fresno Elks lodge on 5351 N Diana Street. Tickets start at $20. For more information, click here.
All proceeds benefit Texas Flood Relief.
