Pre-trial hearing for alleged accomplice in Brunett murder delayed

TANGIPAHOA PARISH, La. (WGNO) — The hearing for the woman accused of being an accomplice in the Brunett murder and abduction case has been delayed.

Victoria Cox is accused of being the accomplice of Daniel Callihan who is charged in the deaths of Callie Brunette and her 3-year-old daughter Erin Brunett along with the kidnapping of 6-year-old Jalie Brunett.

Callie Brunett was found dead inside of her Loranger home on June 13, 2024.

Investigators say both her daughters were kidnapped and taken to Jackson, Mississippi where Erin was found dead but Jalie was found alive.

Cox faces multiple charges including being an accessory after the fact to first-degree murder and kidnapping.

The pre-trial hearing in Tangipahoa Parish that was set for today, Monday, July 14, has been moved to Oct. 25.
