DALLAS (KDAF) — With lower gas prices and shifting economic habits, drivers are finally feeling some relief at the pump — and the numbers prove it.
Payless Power analyzed gas price data across the U.S. and surveyed over 1,000 drivers to understand how Americans are responding to three straight years of declining fuel prices.
Texas has seen the 35th steepest drop in gas prices, falling $0.27 since 2023. Nearly 1 in 6 drivers say lower prices have encouraged them to visit family and friends more often, and 36% of drivers want to see major retailers open their own gas stations to offer lower fuel prices, with Target (18%), Aldi (16%), and Whole Foods (15%) being the favorites.
