The crime happened around 2:00 that afternoon in the 2400 block of Arts Street. Family members told WGNO News that Pittman was killed by a pair of gunmen who fired more than a dozen shots. They also said that Pittman’s girlfriend was injured when she was grazed by one of the bullets.
