18 years later New Orleans East murder remains unsolved

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — In 2007, New Orleans remained in some of the most difficult days of its Hurricane Katrina recovery. People were still rebuilding. The National Guard was still patrolling neighborhoods.

On the morning of Aug. 11, 2007, a couple was found shot to death inside their New Orleans East home. 18 years later, the case remains unsolved. It’s the latest one to roll on the Wheel of Justice.

The crime scene was in the 4900 block of Savoie Court. According to police, someone broke into the home of Anjelique Vu and Luong Nguyen and killed them. The couple’s two young children were inside the home at the time and were unhurt.

New Orleans police increased patrols in the area which already included about 80 officers and 40 guardsmen. To see the latest Wheel of Justice report, watch the video at the top of this story. If you can help solve the case, call CrimeStoppers at 504-822-1111.
