NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — On July 10, 2012, Jaquon Pittman was gunned down in a family member’s backyard in the St. Roch neighborhood. 13 years later, the crime remains unsolved and is the latest case to roll on the Wheel of Justice.

The crime happened around 2:00 that afternoon in the 2400 block of Arts Street. Family members told WGNO News that Pittman was killed by a pair of gunmen who fired more than a dozen shots. They also said that Pittman’s girlfriend was injured when she was grazed by one of the bullets.

Pittman was killed just days before he was set to enlist in the Air National Guard. To see our Wheel of Justice report on Pittman’s case, watch the video at the top of this story.

As of this point, the $2,500 reward in the case remains active. If you have information that could help police make an arrest, call CrimeStoppers at 504-822-1111. You don’t have to reveal your name or testify in court to be eligible to receive the cash.

So far, more than 475 people have been booked after their cases rolled on the Wheel of Justice.
