ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Rockford Police have arrested Oscar Taylor, 55, for allegedly robbing a downtown convenience store clerk at knifepoint.
According to police, around 8:15 a.m. Wednesday, Taylor went into the Faust Market, 813 E. State Street, and grabbed the clerk by the neck and threatened him with a knife.
Taylor reportedly took cash and left the store.
Investigators were able to find clothing, the knife, and cash nearby and located Taylor in the area.
He was arrested and charged with armed robbery, aggravated robbery, and aggravated battery (strangulation).
Taylor was booked into the Winnebago County Jail.
