Lidl announces opening date for new Bethesda location

BETHESDA, Md. (DC News Now) — The countdown is on, and if you are ready for suspiciously low prices, one grocery store chain is opening a new location in Bethesda.

Lidl announced that it will welcome customers to its new supermarket in Bethesda Place. The store will sit on Old Georgetown Road, and doors will open on July 30.

Starting at 7:40 a.m., Lidl will celebrate the grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and memorable freshly baked croissants and coffee. The first 100 customers in line will receive Lidl gift cards ranging from $5-$100.

The store is known for its low prices, private label picks and global imports. Whether you are looking for imported cheese or fresh meats and seafood, Lidl offers new items every Monday.

The growing grocery store chain is one of the leading food retailers across the globe. Lidl currently operates over 12,000 stores in 31 countries.
