Woman with burglary tools found in Kohl’s overnight: PD 

(KRON) – A woman was caught in a Kohl’s stockroom when the store was closed early Sunday morning, said the Colma Police Department. 

At 2:45 a.m., Kohl’s regional loss prevention officer informed police that there was a woman in the Colma store, according to surveillance footage.

Arriving officers said the building showed no signs of tampering and couldn’t access the retail store. The store’s assistant manager was contacted and let the police in. 

The South San Francisco Police Department’s K-9 unit, the San Bruno Police Department’s drone unit and the Broadmoor Police Department assisted Colma PD in finding the suspect. The suspect, identified as Keshia Kelly, and the assistant manager confirmed she was not permitted to be in the store.

Kelly was arrested for trespassing, and officers said they found magnetic devices used as burglary tools on her person. According to an image provided by Colma PD, Kelley was wearing a hat that said “Kohl’s” when she was arrested. 

According to Colma PD, Kelly gave officers a fake name when she was asked, but her identity was revealed by a mobile fingerprint scanner. The device also reveals she had a $3,000 misdemeanor warrant for her arrest.

Kelly was booked into the San Mateo County Jail for trespassing, possession of burglary tools and giving false identification to a police officer.
