Evacuation orders issued after wildfire erupts near Dinkey Creek

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – An evacuation order has been issued after a wildfire broke out near a popular Fresno County campground Friday evening.

Around 5 p.m., the sheriff’s office says a fire was reported near Dinkey Creek Campground, about 5 miles southeast of Shaver Lake.

Evacuation orders have been issued to people in and around Dinkey Creek Campground (evacuation zone K29). A map of evacuation zones can be found here.

The size and cause of the fire have not been reported, but updates will be provided as they become available.
