(KRON) — Two men were stabbed during a deadly fight inside a home on Alvernaz Drive in San Jose Tuesday night, according to police.
A verbal argument involving three men erupted just before the double stabbing, investigators said.
When patrol officers arrived at the house at 10 p.m., they found two men suffering from stab wounds, including one victim who was not breathing and had fatal injuries. Officers quickly learned that the alleged killer was still inside the home.
One victim died at the scene, and the second is expected to survive, the San Jose Police Department said. The third man, 44-year-old Buu Trinh of San Jose, was arrested booked into jail on murder charges.
Law enforcement officials did not immediately release the homicide victim’s name.
Tuesday night’s violence was the 12th homicide in San Jose this year.
