SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — The 55th annual San Francisco Pride Celebration will take place this weekend, culminating in Sunday’s Pride Parade. The Pride Parade begins Sunday, June 29 at 10:30 a.m. on Market Street at Embarcadero Plaza.
The parade typically boasts over 250 contingent groups and runs about four hours. The parade will process along Market toward the Pride Celebration in San Francisco Civic Center around Market and 9th Street. The theme of this year’s Pride celebration is “Queer Joy is Resistance.”
Street closures will be in effect before, during and after Sunday’s parade.
Along the parade route, Market will be closed between Beale and 9th starting at 9:30 a.m. Sunday. All intersections on Market will be closed to cross traffic during the parade. For a complete list of Muni service changes, visit SFMTA.
