VICKSBURG, Miss. (WJTV) – A woman pled guilty in connection to the death of a Vicksburg man during a house fire.
The Vicksburg Post reported Carolyn Mansfield, 52, pled guilty to second-degree murder and arson on June 24.
Mansfield pled guilty in connection to the February 2024 death of Ernest Gleese, 75. Firefighters discovered Gleese’s body after responding to a house fire on Speed Street.
Mansfield is expected to be sentenced on July 8. Albert Thomas was charged with depraved heart murder and arson in connection to the case. His trial was set for July 14.
