SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — Traffic is being diverted, and a Utah Transit Authority (UTA) bus bridge is in place due to a water main break in the Ballpark neighborhood near 1300 South.
Salt Lake City Public Utilities Department (SLCPUD) said its a 16″ water main break under the south bound Trax line. The road between 1300 South from West Temple to 300 West is closed in both directions until the end of the week.
Officials confirm that there are no customers out of water in the area.
According to Gavin Gustafson, a spokesperson for UTA, the bus bridge is active between Central Pointe and 900 South. A spokesperson for SLCPUD said they expect the bus bridge to be in place until the end of the week.
UTA and SLCPUD say they are working together to fix the break and find out the cause.
