UTA says the summer construction on the Red Line is expected to end before “change day” on Sunday, Aug. 17. The line’s completion will reopen service between Courthouse Station and the University Medical Center.
A number of bus routes will also be changing, including Route 35, which runs along 3500 South. The route will no longer serve roadside stops at 3600 West, 3450 West, and 3200 West. Instead, the bus will use a dedicated center-lane station at 3600 West in West Valley City, UTA says.
Routes 39, 47, and 217 will now serve a brand-new transit hub at Salt Lake Community College’s Redwood Campus. Routes 205 and 223 will begin “long-term route detours” due to construction, UTA said in a press release.
Bus service to Lagoon on Route 470 will end its Sunday service for the season, but will continue to run Monday through Sunday.
