Update, 7:55 p.m.: First responders at the scene are reporting that the fire is out. They are still surrounding the perimeter to ensure that it is fully out.
Update, 7:05 p.m.: Utah Fire Info is reporting that resources have halted forward progression. The fire came within 75 yards of structures. They are now estimating the fire is down to 30 acres.
COLLINSTON, Utah (ABC4) — A new wildfire has started near Collinston, a small unincorporated community in Box Elder County on the border of Cache County.
According to Utah Fire Info, the fire is called the Beaver Dam Fire and is already at roughly 100 acres. Structures in the area are threatened.
Resources are responding to the fire in the area. Currently, the fire is only in Box Elder County, but it could spread to Cache County.
