Adopt Tansy: Loving dog needs a home at Caddo Parish shelter

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – Meet Tansy! She’s a sweet 3-month-old Shepherd/Mix pup looking for a place to call home.

Tansy was found as a stray and brought to the shelter on May 15th. She has been patiently waiting for someone to come in and fall in love with her ever since.

She is shy and reserved, but according to Caddo Parish Animal Services Adoption and Volunteer Coordinator Kim Freeman, she is also very sweet and is playful when she warms up.

Tansy could be the perfect addition to your family, and the process to adopt her is simple. Just visit Caddo Parish Animal Services at 1500 Monty Street, fill out the application, and pay the $50 adoption fee. Once Tansy is spayed, vaccinated, and micro-chipped, she will be by your side, ready to make lifelong memories.

If you have children at home who are begging you to buy them a pet, but you’re not sure if they’re ready for the responsibility, there is a pet responsibility class happening at the Shreve Memorial Library Broadmoor branch located at 1212 Captain Shreve Drive. This is the perfect opportunity for your kids to learn what truly goes into caring for a pet and get them ready to add a new member to the family.

The Pet Responsibility Class & Adoption event will take place on Tuesday, June 24th, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
