Opelousas fugitive faces attempted murder charge after Houston arrest

HOUSTON, Tx (KLFY) — Opelousas fugitive was taken into custody in Houston, Texas for attempted first degree murder of a police officer along with other charges, deputies said.

According to deputies, Justin Michael Miller, 28, of Opelousas was arrested and charged for attempted first degree murder of a police officer, four counts of child endangerment, aggravated flight from an officer, failure to render aid and resisting an officer with force and violence.

Miller will be transferred to the Harris County Jail and extradited proceedings will be initiated, deputies said.
