Shreveport fire and sheriff’s office team up for safety training

CADDO PARISH, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office is partnering with the Shreveport Fire Department to host several workshops.

The two are offering a series of free fire workshops to educate the public on the proper use of fire extinguishers. Each session will provide hands-on training and life-saving tips for use during an emergency.

The workshops are open to individuals aged 14 and older. Each session will take place at Sheriff’s Safety Town on June 25, July 10, and July 31 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. To register, contact Deputy Vernita Williams at 318-681-0869 or via email at vernita.williams@caddosheriff.org.
