SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – The Shreveport Police Department (SPD) is offering a cash reward for information leading to the capture of two men responsible for a shooting that left a teenager in severe condition.
On May 2, 2025, SPD officers responded to reports of a shooting near West 69th Street and St. Vincent Avenue.
Upon arrival, officers found a 19-year-old male who had been shot multiple times and suffering from severe injuries. He was rushed to a local hospital and survived.
An investigation revealed that the victim was walking to a friend’s house when two suspects exited a vehicle and began shooting at him before fleeing.
Police say this was a calculated, unprovoked act of violence in the middle of the day, in a residential neighborhood.
“We want to be very clear, this level of violence will not be tolerated in our city. These cowards carried out a senseless attack with no regard for life, and they must be held accountable.” the department says in a press release.
“If you know something, say something. Even the smallest tip could be the break we need to make an arrest and protect others from harm.”
The victim’s recovery is ongoing.
