SLIDELL, La. (WGNO) — A 17-year-old from Slidell has been arrested after he allegedly robbed a juvenile at gunpoint in Lakeshore Villages on Thursday morning, June 5.
According to the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office, shortly before 4:30 a.m., deputies were called to the area of Oakworth Street near Slidell on report of the juvenile male being robbed by someone who he believed was going to buy an expensive pair of sneakers from him.
Investigators say that at the meetup, the suspect, later identified as 17-year-old Lilton Bibbins Jr., allegedly pulled a gun, stole the sneakers and left in a vehicle.
He was found on Friday, June 6, and arrested. He is now reportedly being booked into the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center on one count of armed robbery.
