Heartbreaking update follows single-vehicle crash

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – Police are investigating a car accident that was initially considered non-life-threatening.

On Wednesday, May 28, 2025, Shreveport Police officers responded to a single-vehicle crash in the 4200 block of North Market Street.

According to witnesses, the vehicle was traveling southbound when it suddenly veered off the roadway, crossed the median, struck a tree, and flipped onto its side.

The driver, identified as Eula Foster, was located at the scene with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries and a broken ankle.

A family member on scene informed officers that the driver had a history of seizures, which may have contributed to the incident.

Foster was transported by ambulance to Ochsner LSU Health for treatment.

Throughout the following week, her health began to decline.

The Caddo Parish Coroner’s Office notified the Shreveport Police Department’s Crash Investigations Unit of her passing earlier today.
