Crash involving semi closes I-70 in Wayne County

WAYNE COUNTY, Ind. — A crash involving a semi closed part of I-70 in Wayne County Tuesday morning.

An alert from the Indiana Department of Transportation indicated this happened on I-70 westbound near mile marker 137, a few miles west of the Centerville exit.

Traffic cameras showed a semi trailer upside down and lying across the interstate. Several emergency units responded to the scene and traffic was already backing up.

As of 7:20 a.m., INDOT said the interstate remain closed. Traffic was being diverted off on State Road 1.
