I-70 in Hancock County reopens after semi crash

HANCOCK COUNTY, Ind. – Interstate 70 near Greenfield has reopened after a crash closed the eastbound lanes for a couple hours Thursday morning.

According to the Indiana Department of Transportation, the crash happened on eastbound I-70 near mile marker 103.2 just west of the Greenfield exit.

Hancock County 911 said the crash involved three semis, bringing traffic to a stop. INDOT reported the right lane was closed.

INDOT said all lanes reopened just before 8:40 a.m.

The scene has been cleared. However, it will be a while before traffic resumes its normal flow.

“Be careful with starting and stopping traffic,” Hancock County 911 wrote on social media. “Safe travels.”
