Disguise, Creative Technology Power Eurovision 2026 With Next-Gen Visual Tech

Disguise is partnering with Creative Technology to provide the visual playback backbone for the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 in Vienna, marking the collaboration’s eighth consecutive year.

The production is using Disguise GX 3 media servers to drive a more LED-focused stage design and optimize IP-VFC workflows tailored to Eurovision’s rapid-change staging and high-pressure broadcast environment. The 70th Eurovision finals are May 16.

Eurovision 2026 will be among the first major live broadcasts to deploy Disguise’s latest IP-VFC firmware, an ST 2110-focused update that the company says delivers stability and performance gains for GX 3 servers and supports resilient, low-latency video distribution across the show’s expansive LED and broadcast infrastructure. Disguise engineers are embedded on-site with CT through rehearsals and live shows.

“Eurovision always raises the bar creatively and technically,” said Niklas Ljung, Creative Technology’s group technical director. “Working with Disguise, we refined workflows and built a system that supports both the creative vision and the reliability demands of a live broadcast of this magnitude.”

With more than 35 broadcasters expected to carry the event and a global audience that often tops 160 million viewers, Eurovision is also a showcase for live production technology. Partners include Megapixel for video processing and ROE Visual for LED displays.

“The Eurovision Song Contest is an exciting early showcase of our latest IP-VFC technology in a demanding broadcast environment,” said Camilla Powell, Disguise head of product. “Through our continued partnership with Creative Technology, we’re proud to support one of the most ambitious live productions in the world.”
