Meagan sat in on a baby safe class for expectant parents. She shared her story about her son, who passed away at 3 months old, to hopefully bring awareness to safety steps parents can take to keep their child safe.
Meagan was also able to talk to Morgan, a NICU nurse at Oschner LSU Health. She asked her about the classes offered at the health center and she said,” We teach in one particular class about baby safety, including car seat safety, crib safety, bathing safety, and other ways to protect your baby.
In order to help promote baby safety, the Cares Krewe donated a lot of wearable baby blankets for the parents at the baby safe class so that they can take a step in the right direction to keep their baby safe.
The Cares Krewe looks for deserving recipients each week! You can nominate someone to receive a surprise today. Just click here to submit your nomination or to give us an idea of an organization deserving of a surprise.
