Urban League of Louisiana offers residents apprenticeships in high-demanding careers

LOUISIANA (KTAL/KMSS) — The Urban League of Louisiana is helping state residents secure high-paying jobs.

The organization is partnering with the Louisiana Community and Technical College System to increase awareness and enrollment in high-demand apprenticeship programs. This initiative will target unemployed individuals and provide apprenticeships in wind, solar, and hydrogen energy. Additionally, there will be opportunities in automotive technology, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, drone operation, construction, and linework.

The program will provide participants with hands-on training, industry-recognized credentials, and a direct connection to employers ready to hire. “These apprenticeships break down barriers and open doors — helping our people not only find jobs, but build futures. We’re proud to lead this effort to make the promise of economic mobility real for more Louisiana families,” said Urban League of Louisiana President & CEO Judy Reese Morse.

Apprenticeships are currently open. To apply or learn more, please visit urbanleaguela.org/apprenticeships.
