IMPD: Motorcyclist in critical condition after crash

INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis metro police responded to a serious crash on the city’s west side that left a motorcyclist in critical condition Friday evening.

Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were called around 4:58 p.m. to 57 Gasoline Alley in response to a serious bodily injury crash occurring in the area.

IMPD said officers arrived and found an individual suffering from “critical” injuries. They were provided immediate medical aid and transported to an area hospital for treatment. IMPD confirmed the crash only involved the motorcyclist.

The crash resulted in Gasoline Alley being shut down for several hours between Rockville Road and W. Vermont Street. IMPD confirmed shortly after 7:30 p.m. that the roadway had reopened.
