Baton Rouge rapper “Real Bleeda” wanted on gun charges by Monroe PD

MONROE, La. (KTVE/KARD) — According to the Monroe Police Department, on Monday, May 19, 2025, officers became aware of an incident at the Pecanland Mall, 4700 Millhaven Road, where a male was brandishing a handgun and threatening to shoot.

According to MPD, the incident was caught on video and later posted on social media platforms. The suspect was identified as 22-year-old David Catherine.

According to MPD, since the incident, MPD detectives have been working with the Baton Rouge Police Department to locate and arrest Catherine.

On Wednesday, May 21, 2025, Catherine was taken into custody by BRPD and charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault with a Firearm, Riot, and Illegal Carrying of a Weapon.

Catherine is a known member of the Bleeda Gang.

According to MPD, the investigation remains ongoing, and an additional arrest is forthcoming.
