NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The Orleans Justice Center is on lock down after multiple inmates escaped Friday morning, May 16.
According to the Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office, the inmates were discovered missing around 8:30 a.m. during a routine headcount.
OPSO deputies and partnering state law enforcement agencies are actively searching for the following escapees.
- 33-year-old Antoine Massey
- Charges: Domestic abuse battery/ strangulation
- 27-year-old Lenton Vanburen
- Charges: Illegal carrying weapons
- 31-year-old Leo Tate —
- Charges: Simply burglary of an inhabited dwelling
- 27-year-old Derreck Groves
- Charges: Attempted second-degree murder
- 42-year-old Jermaine Donald
- Charges: Second-degree murder
- 20-year-old Corey Boyd
- Charges: Second-degree murder
The public is being advised to stay alert and aware.
As of 11:30 a.m. 20-year-old Kendell Myles was captured.
