According to a news release, deputies with the Grant County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Wabash County Sheriff’s Office in searching for an adult male who had been missing since April 25. Before his disappearance, he had last been seen at his residence in rural Wabash County.
While conducting the search, GCSO said a certified bloodhound K-9 led authorities on the hunt after obtaining a “scent article” provided by the family of the missing man.
Police soon found the man deceased in an “agricultural area,” GCSO said. The circumstances surrounding the man’s death remain under investigation.
As of this article’s publication, authorities have not provided the identity of the deceased man.
