SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — A two-car crash in Salt Lake City on Sunday night left several people injured.
According to the Salt Lake City Police Department, two cars crashed at 500 South 300 West just before 7 p.m. on May 11.
“A car with four people, traveling southbound on 300 West was hit by a westbound car on 500 South carrying five people,” SLCPD said Sunday night.
Police said three people from a “for-hire vehicle” were taken to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries; one person was reportedly not injured. The five people from the other vehicle were all expected to “self-transport to the hospital as a precaution,” but were not believed to have serious injuries, police said.
Officials said the intersection was still closed as of about 8 p.m. on Sunday. A detour was in effect, and officials said no further updates were expected Sunday night.
