Chicago police said the deadly shooting unfolded just before 1:30 a.m. early Saturday morning in the 6300 block of North Broadway, in Edgewater.
According to police, officers were first called to the scene on a report of a person shot in the area, but when they arrived, they found multiple victims who had suffered gunshot wounds.
The victims included a 28-year-old man who suffered several gunshot wounds to his body and a 31-year-old man who was shot in the chest. Both men were taken to the hospital, where they were pronounced dead,
A third victim, a 36-year-old man who suffered a gunshot wound to his back, was taken to the hospital, where he was listed in fair condition.
Officers said the victims were not able to provide details about the incident and it is currently unclear what led to the gunfire.
Authorities have not yet identified anyone killed and an investigation into the deadly shooting is now underway.
