Tamron Hall celebrates Mother’s Day in NOLA

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Tamron Hall is an Emmy Award-winning journalist, talk show host, wife, mother and author who has published four books so far.

When she is not writing, she is sitting down with big names including Kelsey Grammer, Paula Patton, Ashanti, Tika Sumpter, Deion Sander and even LSU basketball star Flau’jae Johnson.

Headed to NOLA

In November 2024, she took a trip to the Big Easy to introduce her new cookbook “A Confident Cook” and has since returned to the city on tour for her latest read “Harlem Honey: The Adventures of a Curious Kid.”

In a recent interview with WGNO’s Raeven Poole, she expressed how excited she was to be hopping on a plane once again headed to NOLA for a special event this Mother’s Day weekend.

“I’m so happy. We are going to be in New Orleans tomorrow (Saturday, May 9) with Tina Knowles. I am moderating a conversation with Tine,. Her memoir “Matriarch” is number one on the New York Best Seller’s list. She’s been touring but I know that the stop in New Orleans and Louisiana is going to be so special because the family story starts in Louisiana.,” said Hall.

Discussing “Matriarch” & Mother’s Day

Earlier in May, Hall and Knowles had a mother to mother moment on her show where they discusses life, family and being the matriarch.

“The thing that i realized in writing this book is that my mother died six months after I got married and I was super close to my mom. My mom was everything to me. She died and I got pregnant right away with Beyoncé so to me, that was the replacement of my mom,” said Knowles.

On a special episode of the Tamron Hall Show will be a Mother’s Day Extravaganza to celebrate moms, mother figures, aunts and the likes. It will feature a performance by Deborah Cox and nearly $100,000 worth of giveaways.

“Harlem Honey”

Joining her on the trip is her “son-shine” Moses to celebrate the holiday. He is the inspiration to for her recently released children’s book which is also a New York Time’s Best Seller.

“It’s a love letter to my son. Its really is about encouraging children, through curiosity, to face their fears. It can be challenging to go to a new place, see someone new and experience something new when you’re little,” said Hall.

Stay tuned for all things to come to the Tamron Hall which airs on WGNO ABC at 3 p.m. CT.
