Sunny weather for Breaux Bridge Crawfish Fest this weekend

LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) – Showers and thunderstorms continue to push eastward with a few lingering areas of rain that will last through midday. This afternoon, sunshine returns as clouds continue to clear out with drier air filtering in. Highs reach near 80. The Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival should see really nice conditions for much of the day.

Comfortable overnight temperatures in the upper 50s leads to beautiful weather Sunday and Monday. Temperatures warm to near 80 each afternoon with plentiful sunshine and a nice breeze.

Next week, the weather pattern returns to stormier times. We will see multiple days of showers and storms. Some rain could be fairly heavy and that could lead to flood concerns for parts of Acadiana. The good news with the rainy weather is that temperatures will remain cooler during the afternoon hours.
