TANGIPAHOA PARISH, La. (WGNO) — A man who is wanted in connection with a Kentwood homicide investigation has been taken into custody.
On April 5, the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office reported a shooting in the 26000 block of Mount Hennan Cut Road, where 42-year-old Antonio Famularo was found dead.
TPSO detectives said they “determined the incident stemmed from a drug-related dispute” and identified 32-year-old Willie Wells Jr. as a suspect.
On April 17, the TPSO reported that investigators were searching for Wells in the area in the area of Highway 440 and Highway 1054 near the Tangipahoa River Bridge.
On May 3, TPSO officials announced that K-9 Thor took Wells into custody after he was located in the Village of Tangipahoa.
Wells was wanted on charges of first-degree murder, armed robbery and felon in possession of a firearm.
