‘Havana Nights’ annual therapy fundraising gala held in Covington

COVINGTON, La. (WGNO) — The New Heights Therapeutic Riding Center is holding its annual fundraising gala, themed “Havana Nights,” in Covington on July 25.

According to New Heights, the center’s goal is to “transform lives through equine therapy,” specifically focusing on bringing their services to veterans, first responders, human trafficking victims and people who face emotional, physical and cognitive challenges.

To assist in that goal, they’re holding the “Havana Nights” event at The Southern Hotel, located at 428 East Boston St., in Covington. The gala will feature live and silent auctions as well as gourmet food, with attendees encouraged to dress according to the Havana, Cuba, theme.
