Pleasant Grove baseball puts a bow on regular season with win over New Diana

TEXARKANA, TX (KTAL/KMSS) — On Saturday, Pleasant Grove hosted New Diana for one final regular season tune up before they begin their journey to Round Rock.

The Hawks started off strong putting up four runs in the first inning.

In the second, an RBI triple from Hunter Rose and a two-run home run from Buck Anderson tacked on three more runs for Pleasant Grove.

In the third Jarret Halter brought a run in with a hit to left, a generous roll got him to second. That set up Jace Elrod for a 2 RBI single.

The Hawks went on to win 10-0.

Pleasant Grove plays next on Thursday, May 1 against Caddo Mills at Hawks Field for Game 1 of the playoffs. Game 2 will be at Caddo Mills on Friday, May 2. First pitch is set for 6 pm both nights. Game 3 will be played 30 minutes after Game 2 if necessary.
